Another Rockstar High School Senior Gets Ready to Soar ~ Roosevelt Row Arts District in Downtown Phoenix

When you have the opportunity to photograph a talented, smart, successful high school senior that runs his own company, excels in film production, participates in varsity athletics, achieved eagle scout, ranks in the top of his class, and still manages to find time to hike the Grand Canyon from rim-to-rim-to-rim,  you want to make sure to showcase his personality in the most unique way!   Meet Dallas, a superstar high school senior at Arcadia High School who is definitely going places.  He heads east this fall to start his college adventure, and I know we will see great things from him!  

We met downtown in the Roosevelt Row Arts District to take advantage of all the beautiful art and murals that are featured and had great light to work with.  It was a pleasure photographing this guy, and here are some of my favorites from our session.

Luke of all Trades! ~ Brophy College Preparatory High School Senior Session

BIG CONGRATS go out to this promising high school senior as he starts college this fall in either Alabama or Texas.  He has some wonderful choices, and I know he's going to do big things.  I call him a "Luke of all Trades" as there is nothing he doesn't do....

He is Brophy's Student Council President, a varsity sprinter for the track team, an accomplished photographer and videographer, an eagle scout, an exemplary student, a big brother mentor, and a piano player!!!  Wow!  I am not sure when he has time to sleep, but he is obviously doing something right, and my guess is that he will continue to do so.  

He was an absolute pleasure to work with during his portrait session, and I am excited to see where his adventures go.  No doubt, we will see great things.

Papago Park Has It All! ~ Brophy College Prep Senior Session

 I really enjoy photographing high school seniors as they are our world's next generation of leaders and future go-getters!  Meet Brogan, one outstanding young man who makes me think of the One Republic song, I Lived, because he does it all.  He has been a lacrosse player, a wrestler, and is currently a rugby player.  He also helps organize service projects to help those in need, has great grades, and will attend school in London this fall.  In his spare time, he loves to hike and is an avid kart racer.  I'm not sure when he has time to sleep, but he sure does pack a lot into one day!  I know his adventures will expose him to amazing things, and it was a pleasure getting to know him during our photo shoot.

For our session, we went all over Papago Park and took advantage of all the beautiful backdrops it has to offer.  Here are some of my favorites!

Brophy College Preparatory ~ Ryan's Senior Portraits

Hello again!

I had the pleasure of working with Ryan from Brophy College Preparatory for his senior portraits last Sunday afternoon.

Because Brophy is such a beautiful campus, it was a great starting point for photos, and we adventured on from there.  

Ryan also enjoys both the urban and mountain locations that  Phoenix offers, so we fit it all in and finished up on the soccer field.  In addition to being an outstanding student at Brophy, Ryan is also a talented soccer player.  He plays on the varsity team at Brophy and his Phoenix club team.

I loved working with Ryan because of his willingness and patience to work with me on some creative lighting situations for his soccer photos.  They were fun to capture!

After graduation, he plans to play soccer in college.  He is currently in the application process for several schools, and  I wish him all the best in his bright future!   Good Luck, Ryan!  Here are some of my favorites from our session.

Sandra Day O'Connor High School Senior ~ Phoenix Senior Portraits

Meet John, a high achieving and fast running senior who will graduate next spring with the Class of 2018!  He is currently in the process of applying to the United States Naval Academy and the United States Air Force Academy.  His varsity cross country and track work with Sandra Day O'Connor High School along with his impressive academic portfolio are sure to set him up for good things.  I enjoyed meeting with him at his home to capture these images.  He had a beautiful desert landscape just steps from his front door, so it made getting beautiful backdrops for photos a snap.  Good Luck, John!  I know you have great things ahead of you.

Zach's Senior Session at DC Ranch! ~ {Scottsdale Senior Photography}

Today I want you to meet Zach.  Determined, kind, and successful are the words that come to mind when I think about this young man.

Zach is a senior at Northwest Christian High School and will be graduating this May.  He plans to be a firefighter in the city of Phoenix, and is currently in the candidate process which involves obtaining an EMT certification, extreme physical ability, and Firefighter I and II certifications.  WOW!

This guy also loves baseball, and currently plays catcher for his Northwest Christian Crusaders.  Additionally,  Zach loves to fish and hunt throughout Arizona.   It was a pleasure getting to know this gentleman during our session at DC Ranch last Sunday, and you will see from the pictures that we had a great variety of locations to capture great shots!

Finally, a huge bonus to this fabulous shoot was getting to see my former gymnastics teammate, Jenni...aka Zach's Mom :)!  We go way back to our own high school days when we were Sunrays together, and it was unbelieveably fun to see each other again!  Jenni, you are as beautiful as ever, and I loved meeting your fantastic family!!!
