Zack's Fabulous Bar Mitzvah ~ Sonata's Event in Scottsdale

I LOVE photographing Bar/Bat Mitzvahs!  It is one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever witnessed.  The commitment to prepare for a bar/bat mitzvah requires lots of hard work by the young man or lady who is being honored.  The joy of family, tradition, and celebration are an absolutely wonderful thing to witness.  

This was Zack's big day!  He celebrated at Sonata's, a beautiful venue in North Scottsdale with family friends and lots of festivities.  I love this fun family as they always put on a special event honoring this meaningful tradition.  Please enjoy these favorites from Zack's special day!  Mazel tov!

Kacey's Gorgeous Bridal Shower ~ Scottsdale, AZ

No details were left out at this elegant bridal shower held in Scottsdale on Sunday afternoon.  The weather was perfect, the bride-to-be was beautiful, and the flowers, decorations, food and spirits were impeccable.  It was a perfect day to celebrate Kacey's upcoming wedding next month.  Family and friends gathered to enjoy festive games, lunch, and an absolutely gorgeous day in Arcadia.  I had so much fun capturing this beautiful event, and I'm excited to share some of my favorites.

Photogenic Foursome at Papago Park ~ Arcadia Family Session

I love living in Arizona!  We have so many local backdrops of beautiful scenery that it gives limitless options for on-location photos.  This sweet client specifically wanted more green and less desert, so we decided on one of my favorites....Papago Park!  Of course, this beautiful family all looked amazing and dressed in colors that perfectly complemented the outdoor wonderland where we captured them.  You can tell by their photos that they are a close family that has a lot of fun.  In fact, I was ready to jump in the car and travel home with them as I loved getting to know them all.  Finally, I can't leave out their adorable and well behaved dog, Charlie.  He was super patient while we clicked away and sat beautifully for the camera.

Happy 100th Birthday to Marcy Smucker Clark!!!

It was such a happy occasion last Saturday in North Scottsdale as I had the lucky opportunity to capture this wonderful lady and her entire family in celebration of her 100th birthday!  Marcy Smucker Clark was as radiant as ever in a room filled with her entire family including three children, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many close friends.  The evening events included special toasts, presentations, and a surprise tribute from the Phoenix Boys Choir.  Mrs. Clark truly is a remarkable lady, and I was honored to capture her event in photos!  The beautiful event ended with a yummy ice cream bar filled with, of course, Smucker's toppings!  With that kind of name, you know it was delicious;)!  Happy 100th Marcy!

Fresh Graces Cover of Arcadia News June Issue!!! {Arcadia Family and Children Photographer}

ASU Senior Girlfriends Celebrating Class of 2015!!!

OMG I had so much fun photographing these three beauties!  High School Senior portraiture is usually the big deal this time of year, so when these college seniors asked me to capture them for some graduation photos, I was thrilled. How cool to catch these future teachers and good friends in action before they get their diplomas and go off into the real world.

We met at Tempe Town Lake to brave the wind, rain and cold, and then moved over to classic Old Main on the ASU campus.  They were a fun bunch, brought great smiles, glitter and good attitudes with all the crazy weather ;).   I am so excited for them!  Here is a preview from the session....enjoy :)  Congrats 2015!
