Urban to Desert ~ Class of 2018 Senior Session

One of the coolest things about living in Arizona is that you can be downtown in the warehouse district's urban setting photographing a talented and successful high school senior, then drive a short 7 miles to the glorious desert for pictures at sunset!  I always enjoy working with high school seniors as they are getting ready for their next adventure to begin and are up for anything!  Meet Luke, one of  Brophy College Preparatory's super accomplished young men in wrestling, academics, and leadership.  He embarks on a two-year mission following graduation to Portugal and then will go on to college from there.  He was a pleasure to work with, and I expect we will see great things from him in the future.  Good luck, Luke!

Gorgeous Family Foursome at Mount Claret ~Arcadia Family Portrait Session

When your amazing photographer friend asks you to capture her own beautiful family portraits, you say, "Absolutely YES!!!"  I love photographing this family!  Not only are they one of the most photogenic group of humans you will ever see, they are the sweetest family to work with during a photo session.  We decided on the wonderfully secluded Mount Claret this year right at the base of Camelback Mountain.  With serene grounds, beautiful architecture, breathtaking views, and friendly staff,  this venue was a perfect choice.  Here are some of my favorites from this session:).

Backyard Fun! ~ Arcadia Family Session

Oh, I had so much fun photographing this beautiful crew last Sunday afternoon at their home in Arcadia!  We had great light, a beautiful setting,  and lots of energetic little ones that were happy to cooperate.  I especially loved how this family was willing to work with my crazy ideas in getting some priceless candid shots.  Here are some of my favorites!  Enjoy this sweet family.

Family Fun at the Train Park ~ Scottsdale Family Portraits

It was a real treat for me to photograph this sweet family again last Saturday at the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park.  If you have not been to this park, it's fabulous!  Trains, a museum, playgrounds, lush landscaping, and a gorgeous carousel are all attractions at this venue! It was the perfect family outing for two busy boys, and I loved being able to document all the fun.  It was truly a family event for the books, and we really got some great photos to go with the memories.

Camelback Mountain Family Portrait Session ~ Arcadia Family Photographer

So this gorgeous foursome and I met last Sunday at the Camelback Inn to capture these beautiful portraits!  I was so excited they discovered and picked this location as I have never photographed there before.  After seeing these photos, you will know why it's my new favorite place!!!  This sweet family was especially fabulous as they braved the heat AND the random sprinklers that went off during our time together.  Thank goodness, we captured these photos before getting too wet.  Here are some of my favorites, enjoy! :)

The Sensational Seven at the Museum of the West ~ Scottsdale Family Portraits

I think this family gets more stunning every year I photograph them!  I have known this gorgeous crew forever and am thankful to call them a part of my family.  We spent last Saturday evening at the Museum of the West near Old Town Scottsdale.  The building had such interesting architecture that it made a perfect spot to capture some really great photos.  Of course, the colors that this family wore were perfect for the backdrops we had.  I always love spending time with this crew, and please enjoy some of my favorites!  Love this family:)!

Fall Session Special at Papago Park

Hooray,  it's finally Fall!!!!  The weather is cooling off here in Arizona, and we have officially kicked off our fall family portrait special which includes a quick 45-minute session and five full resolution digital images for $155.00.  

I loved meeting with this beautiful family over the weekend out at Papago Park.  They were as fun in person as they look in these photos.  Here are some of my favorites!

Senior Session at Mount Claret and Old Town Scottsdale ~ Scottsdale Senior Photography

Meet Marissa! She is a smart, talented, beautiful, outdoor loving, and ambitious senior who will be graduating next May from Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix.  Last Sunday we braved the 108-degree weather and went in search of colorful and rustic backdrops to capture her senior portraits.   Sure enough, we found beautiful Mount Claret at the base of Camelback Mountain and Old Town Scottsdale.  Oh, the backdrops were gorgeous, and her outfits all complemented the colors so fabulously that you think she had a stylist with her. Marissa will be applying to several prestigious schools, and she has dreams of becoming a doctor.  Her lovely spirit was a dream to photograph!  Good luck, Marissa!  Congratulations!  Here are some of my favorites from our time together.
