Camera Ready!

How lucky to be this photogenic at five!  A true photographer's dream.....this beautiful little girl was willing to go the distance with me on a recent evening in exploring lots of different photo spots.  She braved the Arizona heat, the rope swing and the rocks while smiling perfectly!  She was a treat and we got some great ones.  I'm loving my 50mm lens right now.  It allows for great bokeh (or that wonderful and intentional blurring of the background).  I shot these in the late evening as the sun was going down and opened my lens up to 1.8.

If you haven't guessed by now, I LOVE taking pictures of my niece.  She is already a diva at two and if you catch her at the right time....she is hilarious on film.  As we get ready to transition to Houston, my camera time with her won't be as frequent so I'm capturing her whenever I can.  

 I'm experimenting with some new actions I purchased from Paint the Moon!  Annie is wonderful and you can check her stuff out at paintthemoon.net.  Also, my Canon 5d MarkII has been in the shop, so I'm using my Nikon D60.  This was my first camera which I have always loved!  I used my 50mm 1.4 lens (one of my favorites) and shot these on a covered porch (to get some good light and prevent those yucky harsh shadows.)

Fresh has news!

I am moving to Houston, TX!  Effective August 2011, Fresh Photography will be operating out of 
H-town!  This is a wonderful move for our family, and we will actually be moving back into our old house!  How cool is that!  I look forward to capturing many fresh faces in fabulous TEXAS!  Stay tuned for more updates!

Had to include this fresh little beauty!  Gotta love her legs.....puddin' legs as we call them from the South!  ADORABLE!  I just love her!
