Loving California!

  We still consider ourselves new in California, and we are having great fun exploring all there is to do.  We have loved seeing the different beaches here.  The west coast is so beautiful!  Here are some shots from Hermosa and Redondo beach.  

A Blond-Haired, Blue-Eyed Cutie!

Had sheer delight in photographing this sweet little guy over the weekend!  He had a smile that would light up a room!  He was full of wonder at the beach and the park, and was a joy to capture!  Here's a peek at our session!

A Beautiful Road!

Do you ever contemplate what goes into the making of a road?  Well, to be honest, I never did.  But after having the privilege of shooting this road to show the care taken in preserving the environmental landscape....I have a whole new appreciation for the engineers who pave the way for our cars to travel on each day!  Not only is this project beautiful, but it is also up for some awards!

Loved following this newly one-year old around over the weekend to capture her in action!  She was a treat to photograph, and I fell in LOVE with her TU-TU!

Half Way There!

I had the pleasure over the weekend to photograph these "soon-to-be parents" in Arizona!  They were great fun and are expecting this fall!  Congratulations to this happy couple!

Take me out to the ballgame!

I'm reading a great book right now called Camera Ready, How to Shoot Your Kids by Arthur Elgort, one of the world's top fashion photographers.  His book is not only filled with beautiful pictures and great photography tips, but he shares his philosophy on capturing his own children in photos.

  Haven't we all said, "Gosh, I wish I had the camera with me!"  I know I have said this many times.  Arthur's book emphasizes making the camera a part of everyday life.  Generally we as parents take lots of pictures of our kids, but those are generally planned.  How many moments do we miss because we are running to get the camera?  By having a camera on hand, you can capture the most amazing shots of your children doing the most ordinary things.  I'm trying to do this over the summer with my own children and was able to practice last night!  We went to a Dodger game and I grabbed my camera last minute.  I'm so glad I did!

Celebration Fiesta Style!

I had the sheer delight to photograph these beautiful newlyweds last weekend!  This post wedding party was styled as a Mexican Fiesta.  Family and friends gathered to congratulate and celebrate this new couple!  Everyone had a fantastic time, and it was a joy to capture on film!  Here is a small peek of the wonderful event!  Enjoy!
